No, the injection is not considered painful as it is administered with a fine, thin needle.

Most patients enjoy results for 6-9 months.

PDO threads are strategically inserted into the skin and then pulled in directions in which the thread’s tiny barbs maneuver the skin to naturally firm areas experiencing sagging, folding, and hollowing. The sugar composition of the PDO also helps stimulate collagen production and neovascularization for further enhancement of skin elasticity, texture, and fine line decreases.

Restylane vs Restylane Lyft— Restylane is a thinner solution than Restylane Lyft. Restylane Lyft is injected into a deeper level of skin and the Restylane Lyft hyaluronic “particles” in the injectable gel are quite larger in size than those of Restylane.

Restylane is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe lines such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Restylane is also approved to be used for lip enhancement injections.

Restylane Lyft is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe lines such as nasolabial folds, and marionette lines as well as to enhance volume in the cheek and mid-face contour. Restylane Lyft is also approved for use on the hands to restore volume-loss.

Available in Europe since 1999, and FDA approved for aesthetic uses in 2014, Sculptra® is an injectable cosmetic treatment used to restore facial volume lost due to aging or illness, as well as to decrease the look of shallow to deep smile (nasolabial) lines. Sculptra’s active ingredient, polylactic acid, stimulates collagen production.
